Thank you folks, it seems quite a number of readers find my blog useful and interesting! It’s nice to find so many clicks everyday. Good enough motivation for me to keep writing! More so, from astrological perspective I have ample content/ issues to keep writing on! Here is another one!

Mars has moved into calculating, slow-and-steady-wins-the-race Capricorn on January 5, 2011. In this sign Mars is at the point of exaltation. Lord Sun, the ruler of the human soul, principles and values, transits to Capricorn on January 14 as per Hindu Astrology. Astrology as well Science attaches great importance to Lord Sun. He is the inexhaustible storehouse and the source of light and energy. Without sunlight creatures and vegetation would cease to exist. People will lose their life sustaining vitality. Lack of nourishing substances would lead to the end of creation. This is why the Sun’s existence, movements and positions in the cosmos are so important and that is why Lord Sun earns our respect, admiration and reverence.

Khichadi Sakranti is the day when the Sun begins its northward journey. It usually falls on- and -around January 14th. For the people of the northern hemisphere, the northward path of the Sun marks the period when the Sun is getting closer and closer to them, when the days are getting longer, and it is becoming warmer and warmer.

To Hindus, the sun stands for knowledge, spiritual light and wisdom. Makara Sakranti (Pongal) signifies that we should turn away from the darkness of delusion in which we live, and begin to joyously let the light within us shine brighter and brighter. We should gradually begin to grow in purity, wisdom, and knowledge.

In fact, the Sun itself stands for all the ideals of the Khichadi Sakranti and Pongal festival that is widely celebrated in India.. Its message is that of light, unity, equality and true selflessness. These are the ideals of Karma Yoga. Hence, the Sun is the greatest Karma Yogi. Does it ask any reward for all that it gives to us? If it stops shedding its light, we are doomed to death. If we learn this one lesson from Lord Sun, our lives will shine with divine luster like that of the Sun.

दिल्ली चुनाव पर अबकी बार शनि भारी , होगा आप को नुकसान
