Numerologists suggest number 13 & 26 are unlucky for India as most of the tragic events occur on these dates. For example, Jan 26, 2000, Earthquake in Bhuj, Gujarat, Dec. 13, 2001, terror attack on the Indian Parliament, Mar. 13, 2003, bomb attack on a commuter train in Mumbai, Dec 26, 2004, Tsunami in the Indian Ocean, July 26, 2005, Floods in Mumbai, May 26, 2007, bomb blast in Guwahati. May 13, 2008, Blasts in Jaipur, July 26, 2008, Blasts in Ahmedabad, Sept. 13, 2008, bomb blasts in New Delhi, and now 26.11.2008 the biggest terror attack on Mumbai, India.
If you add the digits of these two numbers (1+3 & 2+6) you will have 4 & 8. As you may know number four is ruled by Rahu and is associated with dangers, sudden developments or events while number eight is ruled by Saturn. Eight is indicative of sorrows, problems, delays and difficulties. Number Four gets a special attention here as, 1939 (World War II) 1948 (Mahatma Gandhi's assassination), 1966 (Pdt. Lal Bahadur Shashtri dies), 1975 (Emergency), 1984 (Mrs Gandhi's assassination), 1993 (Mumbai blasts and riots), 2002 (Gujarat riots), 2011 (???) & 2020 (???) all add up to 22 (4). But then, you may be wondering, these dates come at least twice in every month then, why is that every 13th & 26th is not deadly. That is because these (9) numbers are associated with 9 planets and it depends on how a particular planet is placed in relation to other heavenly bodies. Let’s see how?
Astrologically speaking, 26.11.2008 adds up to two (2+6+1+1+2+0+0+8), the number ruled by Moon. Mumbai terror attacks occurred at about 9.40 pm when the Moon, The most important planet in Vedic Astrology was entering Scorpio. It was Amavas (New Moon) night that began at 8.12 pm on 26 November 2008. The rescue operations finally ended after moon transited to Sagittarius on 29 November 2008 at 11am.
During these traumatic hours, Moon was in water sign Scorpio, its debilitation sign (Weakest point) along with SUN, Mars, and Mercury. Any planet transiting within 10 degree of Sun is set and their benign power is difficult to come-by. So it is not surprising that the intelligence about these terror attacks was ignored by authorities. These planets coming together in Scorpio was indicative of an unfolding tragedy that would leave the government, army, police, fire brigade, media and the entire nation gasping for 60 hours.
Human emotions run too high or low during new moon and full moon also during its debilitation (lowest point) or exaltation (highest point). Moon is the lord of mind & emotions in Vedic astrology and is responsible for managing the ocean water (high & low tides) through its gravity during its waning & waxing cycles. Human body also consists of 80% water, so you can very well relate why your mood swing so much regularly. Sun is indicative of soul, energy fire, government, law and order, politics and leadership while Mars is indicative of fire, arms, weapons, aggression, army and police forces. Mercury is indicative of Intelligence & curiosity. Can you see how useful, helpful and accurate this divine science could be for foreseeing the future?
Currently India is passing last phase of Venus Golden period (1989-2009, a period of India Rising) and now we are passing through Ketu period (Anter Dahsa) from July 2008 to September 2009. This means beginning of frustrating times and end of the Golden Era. There might be decisive war with Pakistan in near future as India approaches closer to Sun Maha Dasa (Sept 2009-Sept 2015). During his six years maha dasa we will attain our rightful place among the most powerful nations in the world. But, we will have to be cautious during Rahu, Ketu, Saturn & Mars transits in the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 7th, 8th and 12th house in India's horoscope. These houses in astrology indicate big problems and hurdles for India. Saturn is already transiting India’s 4th house from January 2007 to November 2009. Rahu will move to 8th house in November 2009 and 7th house in May 2011.
India will have to be very careful during Sun -Rahu periods (Sept 2010- Oct 2011) as this time may not be favorable for India! You may ask, what’s the logic! In perspective, a close correlation is visible between corresponding astrological patterns and disturbing events occurring period after period over the last six decades.
Rahu Connection
India was born at a time when Rahu, the most dreaded planet was transiting in Taurus, India's ascendant sign forming dangrous "Kaal Sarep dosha". This indicates most troublent periods in Vedic Astrology indicating violance and seperation which affected general well being and progress of the people in India. Rahu remanied in India's 1st house for 18 months during 1947-48. More than 10 Lakhs people were believed to have been murdered by violence following India-Pakistan partition. We also lost our beloved Father of Nation, Mahtma Gandhi on 30 Jan 1948. Therefore, our very foundation has something to do with blood & massacre that resulted in conflict of interest with Pakistan. The most violent conflicts have been in 1947-48, 1965, 1971 and 1999.
Rahu remains for 18 months in one astrological sign and then comes back after 18 years to the same sign, it came back to India's 1st house in 1965 and as you know we fought second war against Pakistan and our then Prime Minister Pdt. Lal Bahadur Shastriji died in Tashkand, Russia.
After 18 years each both in 1983-84 & 2001-2002, Rahu transited Taurus- There we saw tensions in Punjab due to Khalistan movement. Following which our late Prime Minister of India, Mrs Indira Gandhi assassinated on October 31, 1984. As India was trying to recover from the sorrows, India's misfortune did not end here and on December 3, 1984 Bhopal Gas Industrial disaster occurred resulting in more than (estimated) 15000 deaths.
This astrological patterns indicate the moment Rahu entered Taurus on 27 February 2002 Godhra train incident occurred following which Gujarat was put to flames by communal riots.
Rahu Sub Periods
During his sub period (Anter Dasha) April 1960-63 Mahrashtra and Gujarat seperated and India fought a war against China.
April 1965 - Oct 1965 another minnor period of Rahu brought India- Pakistan face second war.
1975-77 another Rahu sub phase, there was emergency imposd in India (25th June 1975–21st March 1977) - which was the most controversial periods in the history of India.
During Rahu's sub period 1996-99, we saw Coimbatore bombings (Feb. 14, 1998) 46 deaths, 200 wounded as a result of 13 bomb attacks in 11 places. India fought another (Kargil) war against Pakistan in 1999.
Sun Connection
Sun is the lord of India's fourth house that signifies public and their well- being. It’s the house of Aam Janta, Aam Adami's well-being, comfort, happiness, emotions and peace. He was placed in Cancer along with Moon, Venus, Mercury and Saturn. The placement of these 5 important planets in the 3rd house or 12th house from the 4th house is not beneficial for India. It indicates India as well as its masses will keep suffering heavily due to growing political hypocrisy.
During Sun periods in 1956-57 we had internal political disturbances as the demand for separate linguistic states gained momentum. 1971-72 another Sun period, third war with Pakistan broke out from Dec 3, to 16, 1971. A series of thirteen explosions in Mumbai, then called Bombay, resulted in 257 deaths and over 700 injuries during his sub period 1993.
India will pass through Rahu period again from Oct 2010- Oct 2011 and 2017-18. Come 2020 it will come back to India's 1st house for 18 months. We need to carefully watch out as it could be very dangerous for the nation.
As the national mood is still swinging wildly between anger and fear in the wake of 26/11 terror attacks on India. It has left the country feeling defenseless -is a wake up call-if we care. It should shake us up and prompt on to what is happening to our country which gave birth to doctrine of non-violence hundreds of years before Christ and also during our freedom struggle in the last century, Why so much violence in contemporary India whether it is communal violence, repeated terror attacks or such retaliatory violence in the form of bomb blasts. The repeated history of such sectarian and arbitrary violence seriously compromise with our principles of non-violence and secularism. We cannot build modern India without these doctrines. If we believe things are in our hands, why leave these values to chance & political opportunism. So when India plans for the future, it may be prudent to take astrological factors into consideration.
Hi Govind, this a wonderful prospect of looking at terror through astrology, as I do not know much more about the astroscience I can not debat on that view of point but the way you have explained few point is very logical, there should have something behind it because I would not say it was just coincidence all the time because wherever something wrong had happened, the disaster was equivalent to number mentioned by you. But don’t you think these kind of article play with the subconscious of readers as people have a habit of correlating thing with their past. As most of the granthas speak about the remedies of everything is their any way that such kind of adversity can be avoided.

ReplyDeleteFor an individual there are remedies suggested by the ancient seers and sages, but i am not sure about the whole nation as it includes all individuals. Tragedies do not directly affect every individual. so individually we should be careful. While pursuing our interests, Vedic scriptures suggest that we need to keep two factors in mind at all times-Death and God- both are certain, every thing else is temporary and uncertain. ReplyDeleteIt's chilling to read the article on the problems India has been facing since six decades. It also implies that the problems are never ending since numbers 4 and 8 can not be altered. This sounds absurd to me who does not have much insight into the scienece of numerology or astrology. It also contradicts general views by sages and leaders that India's future is bright in the years to come. Nostrademus ? Is he going to be proved wrong?
These are some of the questions that arise instantly while reading your article. I do not have answers to these.
