Rahu-Ketu Influence leads to Mass Movement and Violence in India

Anti Corruption movement led by Shri Anna Hazare was aided by Rahu Connection

As i said earlier, (read my earlier posts also http://goovind.blogspot.com/2010/12/expect-major-changes-in-2011-including.html (http://goovind.blogspot.com/2008/12/2611-unfolds-worrying-war-times-for.html ( http://www.indianshowbusiness.com/?p=18229 ) the position of Rahu and his transits in 1st house and 7th house of India’s birth chart has always put India on negative spotlight; however, there is a big difference in the nature of influence in each Rahu-Ketu transits over the last 65 years in India. Whenever Rahu transits in Taurus and Ketu in Scorpio India goes through massive violence and when they are in opposite sign such as Rahu in Scorpio and Ketu in Taurus India goes through massive mass movement and protests.

Just for your understanding, Rahu-Ketu stay in one Rashi for 18 months and there are 12 Rashi’s in astrology. Rahu comes to the opposite sign, which is 7th house of a birth chart every 9 years and completes one orbit in 18 years!

Now lets look at what happened in India when Rahu-Ketu transited in the houses they were occupying at the time of India’s birth ( Mid night of15 Aug 1947) and also what India went through when they were in opposite side of the birth chart., which is 7th (opposition) zodiac sign from the birth sign..

Year 2011- Transiting Rahu in Scorpio (7th house) the house of opposition and Ketu in Taurus (1st House)

Anti Corruption Massive MASS movement led by Shri Anna Hazare and his team (Ms Kiran Bedi, Mr Prashant Bhushan, Mr Arbind Kejeriwal among others)

A massive mass movement has gained momentum this year with Anna Hazare, a prominent social activist has been on “Anshan” twice this year in April and August 2011. The protests have been centered on the Jan Lokpal Bill, many believe, which if drafted, legislated and executed properly can address the issue of corruption in effective manner!

Year 2002 - Transiting Rahu was in Taurus (1st house) and Ketu in Scorpio (7th House): The astrological patterns indicate the moment Rahu entered Taurus on 27 February 2002 Godhra train incident occurred following which Gujarat was put to flames by communal riots which led to massive violence, loss of lives and property...

The 2002 Gujarat violence describes the Godhra train burning and resulting communal riots between Hindus and Muslims. On 27 February 2002 at Godhra City in the state of Gujarat, the Sabarmati Express train was attacked by a large Muslim mob[1][2] in a conspiracy.[3] As a result, 58 Hindu pilgrims, mostly women and children of ladies compartment returning from Ayodhya, were killed. The attack prompted retaliatory massacres against Muslims and communal riots on a large scale, in which 790 Muslims and 254 Hindus were killed and 223 more people were reported missing. 523 places of worship were damaged: 298 dargahs, 205 mosques, 17 temples, and 3 churches. Muslim-owned businesses suffered the bulk of the damage. 61,000 Muslims and 10,000 Hindus fled their homes. Preventive arrests of 17,947 Hindus and 3,616 Muslims were made. In total 27,901 Hindus and 7,651 Muslims were arrested. Nearly 10,000 rounds of bullets were fired in police shootings that killed 93 Muslims and 77 Hindus (source http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2002_Gujarat_violence)

During Rahu's sub period (anter dasha) 1996-99, the Coimbatore bombings (Feb. 14, 1998) 46 deaths, 200 wounded as a result of 13 bomb attacks in 11 places. India fought another (Kargil) war against Pakistan in 1999.

Year 1992-93- Transiting Rahu was again in Scorpio (7th house) and Ketu in Taurus (1st house) : When Babri Masjid Demolition and Massive Ram Janambhumi Movement shook the nation in 1992, Rahu was in Scorpio again.

Notions have been there that Babur built a mosque in the place where Lord Rama was born. Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP party) taking the cause made efforts to reclaim the site for Hindus where they wanted to erect a temple dedicated to the infant Rama (Ramlalla). On the other hand many Muslim organizations continued to express disagreement at the disputed structure. Since then, the matter is an issue of intense debate and conflict

On 6 Dec, 1992, prominent Hindu leaders reached the puja platform where symbolic Kar Seva was to be performed later the leaders moved to the Ram Katha Kunj. At noon, a teenage Kar Sevak was "vaulted" on to the dome and that signaled the demolition of mosque. Soon the political rally developed into a riot involving 150,000 people. More than 2,000 people were killed in ensuing riots in many major cities in India and Pakistan. This event again led to a situation of political unrest and uncertainness in the country..

The Bombay Riots in December 1992 and January 1993

The riots started as a result of communal tension prevailing in the city after the Babri Mosque demolition on 6 December 1992. It is commonly believed that the riots occurred in two phases. The first was mainly a Muslim backlash as a result of the Babri Masjid demolition in the week immediately succeeding 6 December 1992 led by Hindu hard-line elements in the city of Ayodhya, around 900 people were believed to be died.

The second phase was a Hindu backlash occurring as a result of the killings of Hindu Mathadi Kamgar (workers) by Muslims in Dongri (an area of South Bombay), stabbing of Hindus in Muslim majority areas and burning of six Hindus including a physically handicapped girl in radhabai chawl. This phase occurred in January 1993 with most incidents reported between 6 January to 20 January.

The Bombay riots were followed by the bomb blasts of 12th March 1993 which resulted in up to 250 fatalities and 700 injuries. It is believed that the attacks were carried out in retaliation for the enormous Muslim casualties and widespread damage to the Muslim owned businesses and properties which occurred during the Bombay riots (source –Wikipedia)

Year 1984 - Transiting Rahu in Taurus (1st house) and Ketu in Scorpio (7th house) led to big tensions in Delhi-Punjab due to Khalistan movement. Our late Prime Minister of India, Mrs Indira Gandhi was assassinated on October 31, 1984.

Anti Sikh Riots..

The violence in Delhi was triggered by the assassination of Indira Gandhi on 31 October 1984, by two of her Sikh bodyguards in response to her actions during the preceding months. The Government of India reported 2,700 Sikh deaths however human rights organizations and newspapers report the death toll to be 1,000-1,700. In the aftermath of the pogrom, the Government of India reported 20,000 had fled the city, however the PUCL reported "at least" 50,000 displaced persons.[7] The most affected regions were neighborhoods in Delhi. Human rights organizations and the newspapers believe the massacre was organized.[4][8] The collusion of political officials in the massacres and the failure to prosecute any killers alienated normal Sikhs and increased support for the Khalistan movement.[9] The Akal Takht, the governing religious body of Sikhism, considers the killings to be genocide (source Wikipedia)

Bhopal Gas Tragedy

As India was trying to recover from the sorrows, India's misfortune did not end here and on December 3, 1984 Bhopal Gas Industrial disaster occurred resulting in more than (estimated) 15000 deaths.

Year 1975- Transiting Rahu was in Scorpio (7th house) and Ketu in Taurus (1st house) led to Jayaprakash Narayan Movement and Imposition of Emergency in India

1975-77 another Rahu sub phase, there was emergency imposed in India (25th June 1975–21st March 1977) - which was the most controversial periods in the history of India

During this period Parliamentary opposition Parties had long made allegations that Congress has used unfair means to win 1971 elections. The Gandhian socialist Jayaprakash Narayan launched a movement Bihar for a change in provincial government, and increasingly sought to direct popular action against the Central government through Satyagrahs. During this year Indira's coalition party in Gujrat called Janta Party loose the elections and even faced an all-party, no confidence motion in Parliament. In such a situation of political unrest The Internal Emergency was imposed in India on grounds of “imminent danger to the security of India being threatened by internal disturbances" and was lifted after 6 months, only after a decision to hold elections in 1977.

Year 1965-66 - Transiting Rahu again in Taurus (1st house) and Ketu in Scorpio (7th house): After 18 years since 1947-48 Rahu came back to India's 1st house in 1965 and as you know we fought second war against Pakistan and our then Prime Minister Pdt. Lal Bahadur Shastriji died in Tashkand, Russia in 1966.

During Rahu's sub period (Anter Dasha) April 1960-63 Mahrashtra and Gujarat separated and India fought a war against China.. April 1965 - Oct 1965 another minor period of Rahu brought India- Pakistan face second war.

Year 1956- Transiting Rahu was in Scorpio (7th house) and Ketu in Taurus (1st house) when Mass movements and protests following the States Reorganization Act of 1956 took place in India. The act reorganized the boundaries of India's states along linguistic lines which led to demand for separate states on linguistic basis, and is an ongoing issue in Indian Politics. India experienced internal political disturbances as the demand for separate linguistic states gained momentum in this phase.

Movement led by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar for conversion to Buddhism :Dr. Ambedkar discovered that the Mahar people were originally ancient Buddhist people who were forced to live outside the villages like an outcast as they refused to leave Buddhist practices and eventually they were made into untouchables. In 1955, Dr. Ambedkar, founded the Bharatiya Bauddha Mahasabha (The Buddhist Society of India). He organised a formal public ceremony for himself and his supporters in Nagpur on October 14, 1956. In tradition manner he completed his own conversion and then proceeded to convert a large number (around 500,000) of his supporters to Buddhist Religion. This was one of major mass moments of that time.

Year 1947-48- Transiting Rahu in Taurus (1st house) and Ketu in Scorpio (7th house): India was born at a time when Rahu, the most dreaded planet was transiting in Taurus, India's ascendant sign and Ketu in Scorpiro (7th hose) forming dangerous "Kaal Sarep dosha". This indicates most truculent periods in Vedic Astrology indicating violence, mass movements, communal conflicts and separation which affected general well being and progress of the people in India. Rahu Transited in India's 1st house for 18 months during 1947-48. More than 10 Lakhs people were believed to have been murdered by violence following India-Pakistan partition. We also lost our beloved Father of Nation, Mahtma Gandhi on 30 Jan 1948 with in his 18 month stay in Taurus
