8 January 2009-Stock Markets may face down turn

The Government of India has finally announced a two lakh crore rupees mixed stimulus package to revive the slowing economy. Heavenly bodies indicate the cheer might not last long enough, as there are indications of financial markets turning bearish in the near term. There might also be some other problems related to global importance erupting all of a sudden.

On the 8 Jan Moon will be aspected (Dristi) by retrograde (moving backward) Saturn and debilitated (Weak) Jupiter in Taurus. Surprisingly, the digits in the date add up to two (8+1+2+0+0+9 =2+0) the number ruled by Moon. Number eight is ruled by Saturn, who's aspect is considered too troublesome.

For example Saturn (signifies iron, steel, engineering, basic service & labor industry) is in apposition (aspecting) to Venus (signifies automobile) since Dec 28, 2008. The Auto-Rickshaw strike in Kolkata, following the implementation of High court order to ban commercial vehicles registered before Jan 1, 1993, from the City and its outskirts, can be attributed to this heavenly influence. Why not? look at the correlation between transit of Moon, Venus and timing of the implementation of the court order!

Saturn was retrograding from December 21, 2007 to May 2, 2008...needless to mention the events that occurred last year, particularly after Sun moved to (14th Jan-MakerShankarti Sun begins to move northward) Capricorn in mid -Jan 2008.

Mercury ( the planet of intellect and communication) is also turning backward on Jan 10 which will adversely affect the speech and thinking of decision makers, opinion leaders and hence masses. The benign power of Jupiter and Mars will also be set from 12 Jan 2009.

Adding to the woes, the recent events unfolding in Nepal is also not very encouraging. The forcible replacement of priests of Indian origin from the world renowned Pashupatinath (Lord Shiva) temple in Nepal despite order of Nepalese Supreme Court is a serious cause of concern. Which may also aggravate the anger of Lord Shiva (the ultimate destroyer of arrogance and ego in Indian Mythology) if the issue is not resolved amicably.(gracefully.)

Otherwise, a phrase from Sanskrit may be apt to describe the situation ahead "Vinashkale biprit budhi" (When times are bad, brain runs in the opposite direction, giving control to FATE )
